Dr. Jennifer S. Tekiele was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. She is an NBEO board-certified optometrist who has received awards for academic excellence and contact lens patient care including the Hy and Rose Wodis academic award in 1998 and the Innovations in Contact lens award in 2001.

She graduated from the University of Toledo with a B.A. degree in Biology.   Dr. Tekiele went on to receive her B.S. in Visual Science and her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry.   Post-graduate training included an Internship at the Illinois Eye Institute, where she received Honors in Pediatrics and Low Vision.  She also completed an Externship at the Cleveland VA Medical Center where she received Honors in Advanced patient care. She has been working in the optical business for over 16 years and practices full-scope primary care optometry.
