Dr. Ann Marie Kautz brings a wealth of optometric experience to Michigan Eye Institute. She graduated from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University with Distinction, having received advanced training in pediatric eye care. She then went on to the Saginaw Veterans Administration Hospital for specialty training in ocular disease.

Following this advanced training, Dr. Kautz accepted a faculty position at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She served as both a clinical and laboratory instructor in the Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences.   Dr. Kautz was also clinical instructor for practicing optometrists in continuing education workshops in New Zealand.  She was responsible teaching clinical techniques utilized in the detection of ocular disease.

Dr. Ann Marie Kautz fosters her interest in pediatric eye care as a member doctor of the public health initiative INFANTSEE, a program that provides a one time comprehensive eye assessment for infants in their first year of life. In addition to pediatrics, she has an interest in specialty contact lens fittings and primary care optometry. She has been an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Michigan Optometric Association for 12 years.

Joining the team at Michigan Eye Institute in 2002, Dr. Ann Marie Kautz continues to enjoy utilizing her advanced training and interests to provide only the best in patient care.
